January 2016
Veterans Benefits:  Important gathering at RI State House for all veterans on Tuesday 19 January at 3PM

There is a most important event for veterans scheduled for 3PM on Tuesday, 19 January, 2016at the Rhode Island State House rotunda in Providence.

Rep. Bob Lancia R-District 16, has scheduled a press conference in support of veterans benefits. He feels that the time is right for RI to repeal or reduce the income tax on military retirement pay and several other endeavors to support veterans, but needs your help. (Rhode Island is one of a few states that tax military retirement pay and, as a result, RI witnesses the exodus of productive retirees each year in the prime of their earning power who leave for more tax friendly states.)

In order to move this ahead, he asks for ALL Veterans to show that you care about your benefits and attend the press conference in the rotunda of the State House at 3PM Tuesday 19January. YOUR ATTENDANCE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE! The legislature is in session and the members will see the numbers of constituent veterans in attendance. NUMBERS COUNT, so please call any of your friends who have served and bring them with you.

Parking is available on the hill beside the state house or park in the Providence Place Mall and walk up the hill.
This is the opportunity of a lifetime to have your voice heard and potentially improve your personal deserved benefits.
